Public transport vs car hire

Public transport exists, but it’s limited. Buses run between Cairns, the northern beaches, and some key hubs, but services can be infrequent, travel times are longer and flexibility is minimal. If you’re staying in places like Redlynch, Palm Cove, Clifton Beach, or Trinity Beach, a car becomes far more valuable.
